Nathan Riggers

Owner


Nate graduated from the University of Idaho, College of Agriculture in 1987. After graduation, Nathan worked in the grain and seed industry until 1992 when he joined his father, Stan, and his brother, Steven, on the family farming operation. Nathan is a past President of Nezperce Prairie Grass Grower’s Association and serves on the Board of Directors of Northwest Farm Credit Services.

Nathan and his wife, Christine Riggers, have three children, Katy, Jonathon, and Christopher. Jonathon is a Naval F/A-18 strike fighter carrier pilot currently stationed in Virginia Beach, VA with his wife Brissa, and Katy is attending Montana State University. Chrissy, also a graduate of the University of Idaho, teaches Family & Consumer Science at Nezperce High School.

Christopher Riggers

Upon graduating from Nezperce High School in 2011, Christopher attended Purdue University where he graduated in 2015 earning a degree in Agribusiness Management, and is a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. While at Purdue, he met Natalie Maines from Zionsville, Indiana, and in June 2017 they were married in Indianapolis.

Christopher worked as a grain merchandiser in Montana and Indiana for two years after graduating from Purdue, while Natalie remained at school earning her Masters degree in Education. Not long after marrying and Natalie completing her graduate school education, she and Christopher moved back to Idaho and became co-owners in the family farming operation, with Natalie also working as the elementary and secondary School Counselor at Nezperce School District.

Steve Riggers


Steve joined the family farm in 1981 after graduating from Boise State University. In his early years farming during the 1980s, Steve helped develop Positive Ag which worked with the Idaho Wheat Commission on educating the public about environmental issues affecting agriculture.

In 1990, Steve was named the Lewis County Conservation Farmer of the Year in and in 1996, the Farm Journal Spokesman of the Year Runner Up. Steve also served on the Lewis County Soil Conservation Board from 2004 to 2008.

Steve retired from farming full time in 2018 but still serves an advisor to the farm and provides help during the busy seasons of harvest and planting. Steve now lives in McCall, Idaho with his wife, Joan, and is heartily filling his time with volunteer projects and more leisure activities such as golf and skiing.
